General Worker / Housemen

We are seeking a proactive, guest-focused, and dependable General Worker / Housemen to join our team at South Point Hotel. In this role, you will be a hospitality and maintenance expert helping us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the hotel’s poolside, beach, housekeeping, and public areas. You will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing towels and equipment, conducting cleanliness and safety checks, performing pool water testing, and supporting events across the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Services & Poolside Support: Support guest services by assisting with poolside and beach needs, setting up lounge chairs and umbrellas, distributing towels, and providing friendly information on amenities and safety guidelines.

• Area Maintenance & Cleanliness: Keep pool and beach areas clean, organize furniture throughout the day, and maintain a tidy, inviting environment with clean, functional equipment.

• Safety & Hazard Reporting: Enforce safety rules, conduct routine pool water testing to ensure chemical levels meet standards, and promptly report irregularities, hazards, or maintenance issues.

• Vehicle Maintenance & Fleet Care: Wash and inspect the company van to ensure clean presentation standards and operational readiness.

• Event Setup & Cross-Departmental Support: Assist with event setup and service, support the housekeeping department with daily tasks, and assist other departments across the hotel as needed.

Qualifications

• Secondary school level of education, with a proactive approach and strong commitment to guest satisfaction.

• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.

• Knowledge of pool maintenance standards, chemical testing, and basic facility upkeep.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and work well with minimal supervision.

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects, handle physically demanding tasks, and maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
