Finance Manager
This role will also oversee the local Accounts Department and work closely with hotel leadership, operational teams, external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and Head Office to support sound financial decision-making and the overall financial performance of the hotel.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, hospitality finance experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Lead the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, within 15 days of month-end.
• Prepare and provide daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports to hotel leadership and Head Office as required.
• Prepare complete monthly financial statements and detailed budget-to-actual variance analysis, including commentary and recommendations on financial performance.
• Maintain oversight of cash management, working capital, fixed assets, inventory, and other key financial areas.
• Maintain strong internal controls across hotel financial operations, including proper approvals, separation of duties, cash management, inventory controls, and adherence to budgets.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting principles, regulations, company policies, and applicable tax requirements
What You’ll Bring
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an Accounting or Finance Management role.
• Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is required.
• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.
• Strong analytical, technical accounting knowledge, including experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of or experience working with IFRS, technology and software skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Room Master and QuickBooks
• Experience managing or implementing accounting, payroll, POS, inventory, and reservation systems.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working in a professional accounting firm, such as KPMG, BDO, or a similar organization.
• Experience managing and developing junior accounting team members.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with hotel operations, Head Office, external advisors, auditors, and financial partners.
• High level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
