We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated General Cook to join our kitchen team and contribute to delivering high-quality meals for our guests. As a General Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to standard recipes and guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to food safety and hygiene, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present meals according to hotel standards and guest specifications.
- Ensure all food is stored and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
- Support in food preparation for banquets, room service, and restaurant outlets.
Qualifications:
- GCE Certificates / Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, or similar setting.
- Experience with various cooking methods (grilling, sautéing, baking, etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with different cuisines is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
