We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated General Cook to join our kitchen team and contribute to delivering high-quality meals for our guests. As a General Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to standard recipes and guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to food safety and hygiene, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals according to hotel standards and guest specifications.
  • Ensure all food is stored and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
  • Support in food preparation for banquets, room service, and restaurant outlets.

Qualifications:

  • GCE Certificates / Culinary training or certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, or similar setting.
  • Experience with various cooking methods (grilling, sautéing, baking, etc.) preferred.
  • Familiarity with different cuisines is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
